As of July 2009, I have received approval from IDFPR to be an Approved Firearms Instructor.  However, my 40 hour course is still in development.  After I finish my 40 hour course, and it is accepted,  I will be able to do the full 40 hours of training required for Private Security and Detectives in Illinois. 20 Hours will be considered the "Basic Training Program" and 20 hours will be considered the "Firearms Training Program.   I will also be able to do Firearm Card Re-qualifications, after my 40 hour course is approved.
